3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP)
3GPP develops globally applicable Technical Specifications and Technical Reports for 3rd Generation Mobile Telephone Systems based on evolved GSM core networks. Digital Fountain is a member of
3GPP and has worked within 3GPP to incorporate the company’s DF Raptor™ FEC technology as a mandatory component of the Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) for 3rd generation (3G) cellular networks. With DF Raptor FEC technology incorporated in every MBMS-enabled phone and network, subscribers around the world will receive the best-quality multimedia services.

Digital Video Broadcasting Project (DVB)
The Digital Video Broadcasting Project (DVB) is an industry-led consortium of over 260 broadcasters, manufacturers, network operators, software developers, regulatory bodies and others in over 35 countries committed to designing global standards for the global delivery of digital television and data services. Digital Fountain is a member of
DVB.
- DF Raptor technology has been made part of the DVB global standard to support content delivery services over DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld) wireless networks.
- DF Raptor technology has been made part of the DVB global standard to provide enhanced streaming delivery of IPTV using application layer FEC. This will enable IPTV providers to deliver broadcast-quality service while eliminating many of the common problems associated with existing IPTV services, including video and audio degradation.
